Server and data center memory for the systems that run business workloads, matched model by model to each maker's published memory specification: generation, module type, speed, slot count and maximum capacity. NEMIX RAM lists sixteen server makers below, from current Dell, HPE, Lenovo and Cisco platforms to legacy Fujitsu, NEC and Intel systems that are still in service. If you manage a rack, a cluster or a mixed estate, this page is the map.

Listing counts were checked against the live collections on 2026-10-23 and grow as models are added. For a single list of every maker including motherboards and NAS, see memory by system. If you have an OEM part number rather than a model, use the part-number collections: HPE, Dell, Cisco, Lenovo and Supermicro.

The server model, not the module, decides which row applies. Platform notes in the right column are general guidance; the listing for your exact server states the supported speed and capacity. You can also browse all ECC RDIMM, all LRDIMM and ECC UDIMM for entry servers, or use memory by specification.

RDIMM or LRDIMM

RDIMMs buffer the address and command signals and are the standard choice for most servers. LRDIMMs also buffer the data lines, which lets a server carry more total memory per channel at the cost of slightly higher latency. Servers that accept both still require one type per system: RDIMMs and LRDIMMs cannot be mixed. Entry-level tower servers and single-socket workstation boards often take ECC UDIMM instead. Match the type shown on your server's listing.

Plan a refresh or a capacity upgrade

Adding or replacing memory is often the quickest way to give a sound server more working life. Our data center memory refresh guide covers taking inventory, reading installed modules with standard tools, populating channels evenly, standardizing part numbers across a fleet, spares, piloting and retiring old modules. For desktops and laptops, see business fleet memory upgrades, and for ECC workstations see workstation memory.
