Memory for AAEON fanless box PCs, industrial motherboards, embedded boards and computer-on-modules, matched model by model to the memory type, speed, slot count and maximum AAEON lists. NEMIX RAM has 15 AAEON listings covering 13 models, from a single-slot Atom box PC to a four-slot Micro-ATX board that takes up to 192GB. Type your AAEON model into the search bar at the top of the page, find it in the tables below, or browse all AAEON memory.

Find your AAEON model first

AAEON model names start with a product-line prefix: BOXER for fanless box PCs, MIX and MAX for Mini-ITX and Micro-ATX industrial motherboards, GENE, PICO and EPIC for compact embedded boards, and COM or HPC for computer-on-modules. The model decides the memory: a DDR4 SO-DIMM box PC, a DDR5 SO-DIMM board and a DDR5 UDIMM motherboard each take a different module, and none of them are interchangeable.

Fanless box PCs (BOXER)

Model Memory Slots Maximum Platform or note
BOXER-6641 DDR4-2666 SODIMM or DDR4-2666 ECC SODIMM 2 64GB 8th and 9th Gen Core; ECC or non-ECC
BOXER-6842M DDR4-2666 SODIMM or DDR4-2666 ECC SODIMM 4 128GB 8th and 9th Gen Core (C246); four slots, double deck
BOXER-6643-TGU DDR4-3200 SODIMM 2 64GB 11th Gen Core SoC
BOXER-6645-ADS DDR5-4800 SODIMM 2 64GB 12th to 14th Gen Core; 32GB maximum at the 60C rating
BOXER-6406-ADN DDR5-4800 SODIMM 1 32GB Intel Atom x-series and N-series; one slot
BOXER-6647-MTH DDR5-5600 SODIMM 2 64GB Core Ultra; one user-accessible slot, sold as single modules

Industrial motherboards (MIX and MAX)

Model Memory Slots Maximum Platform or note
MIX-Q670A1 DDR5-4800 SODIMM 2 64GB 12th to 14th Gen Core (Q670E), Mini-ITX
MAX-Q670A DDR5-4800 UDIMM 4 192GB 12th to 14th Gen Core (Q670), Micro-ATX; runs at 4000 MT/s

Embedded boards (GENE, PICO and EPIC)

Model Memory Slots Maximum Platform or note
GENE-RAP6 DDR5-4800 SODIMM 2 64GB 13th Gen Core SoC, 3.5-inch SubCompact
PICO-RAP4 DDR5-5600 SODIMM 1 32GB 13th Gen Core, Pico-ITX; platform runs at 5200 MT/s
EPIC-RPS9 DDR5-4800 SODIMM 2 64GB 12th and 13th Gen Core, EPIC; non-ECC modules listed

Computer-on-module (COM-RAPC6 and HPC-RPSC)

Model Memory Slots Maximum Platform or note
COM-RAPC6 DDR5-5600 SODIMM 2 64GB 13th Gen Core SoC, COM Express Type 6; 4800 or 5200 MT/s by processor
HPC-RPSC DDR5-5600 ECC SODIMM 2 64GB 12th and 13th Gen Core, COM-HPC Client; ECC

ECC and non-ECC modules are separate listings where the platform supports both: the BOXER-6641 and BOXER-6842M each have one of each, and the HPC-RPSC takes ECC SO-DIMMs. The other models take non-ECC modules. AAEON states ECC support for the EPIC-RPS9 only on its R680E chipset variant, so we list non-ECC modules for it; if you run that variant, send us the model number and we will check what we can supply.

Rules that apply across AAEON industrial products

  • SO-DIMM or UDIMM. Nearly every AAEON system and board we list takes laptop-size SO-DIMMs. The MAX-Q670A takes full-size UDIMMs. They are not interchangeable.
  • DDR4 or DDR5. The two generations are keyed differently and will not fit each other's slots. The BOXER-6641, BOXER-6842M and BOXER-6643-TGU are DDR4; the rest are DDR5.
  • Speed follows the platform. Modules run at the speed the processor and board support. The MAX-Q670A runs at 4000 MT/s, the PICO-RAP4 at 5200 MT/s, and the COM-RAPC6 at 4800 or 5200 MT/s depending on the processor, so DDR5-4800 and DDR5-5600 modules run at those speeds on those models.
  • Populate matched modules. Two-slot and four-slot boards run best with matched modules. Do not mix ECC and non-ECC modules.
  • Check the thermal rating. The BOXER-6645-ADS is rated for 32GB of memory at its 60C operating temperature. Check the rating for your deployment before choosing a larger kit.

Why NEMIX RAM for AAEON memory

NEMIX RAM is a US-based memory specialist, in business since 1993. Every module is researched, matched, and compatibility-tested by NEMIX RAM, is JEDEC-compliant, and is backed by a lifetime warranty. Each AAEON listing names the exact model it fits and states the slot count and maximum AAEON lists for it. NEMIX RAM is an independent memory supplier and is not affiliated with AAEON. AAEON and the model names above are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to identify compatible systems.

Integrators, factory automation and edge deployments

AAEON systems go into factory automation, machine vision, kiosks, digital signage, transport and edge AI deployments, usually in fleets. Purchase orders, net terms and volume pricing are available for system integrators, OEM builders, resellers, schools and government buyers. Request a quote for a deployment, or send us your AAEON model numbers and we will confirm the right module before you order. The wider industrial range is on the industrial and embedded memory page.

Frequently asked

Does my AAEON box PC take laptop or desktop memory?
The BOXER systems we list take SO-DIMMs, the laptop-size module: DDR4 on the BOXER-6641, BOXER-6842M and BOXER-6643-TGU, and DDR5 on the BOXER-6645-ADS, BOXER-6406-ADN and BOXER-6647-MTH. Desktop UDIMMs will not fit.

Can I use ECC memory in my AAEON system?
Where AAEON lists ECC, there is an ECC listing: the BOXER-6641 and BOXER-6842M (DDR4 ECC SODIMM) and the HPC-RPSC (DDR5 ECC SODIMM). The other listed models take non-ECC memory.

How much memory can I install?
Each listing states the slot count and the maximum AAEON lists for that model: 32GB on the BOXER-6406-ADN and PICO-RAP4, 64GB on the BOXER-6641, BOXER-6643-TGU, BOXER-6645-ADS, BOXER-6647-MTH, MIX-Q670A1, GENE-RAP6, COM-RAPC6, HPC-RPSC and EPIC-RPS9, 128GB on the BOXER-6842M and 192GB on the MAX-Q670A.

Do you list wide-temperature memory?
The listings here are for standard JEDEC modules. If your deployment needs wide-temperature memory, contact us before you order and we will check what we can supply.
