Memory upgrades for UGREEN NASync NAS units: the DXP2800, DXP4800, DXP6800 and DXP8800 families, including Plus, Pro, GT and Ultra models. Every listing is matched to one NASync model, using the memory type, speed and module sizes UGREEN specifies. This page explains how to identify your UGREEN system and which memory it takes. To go straight to the products, type your UGREEN model or part number into the search bar at the top of the page.

Find your UGREEN model first

The model is on the label underneath or on the back of the unit and in UGOS Pro under Device information, for example DXP4800 Plus or DXP8800 Ultra. Models with the same number but a different suffix (Plus, Pro, GT, Ultra) can take different memory, so match the full name.

Which memory does my NASync take?

  • Intel DXP models (DXP2800, DXP4800, DXP4800 Plus and Pro, DXP480T Plus, DXP6800 Pro and Ultra, DXP8800 Plus and Ultra) take non-ECC DDR5 SODIMM.
  • GT models (DXP2800 GT and DXP4800 GT, AMD Ryzen Embedded R2514) take DDR4 SODIMM, ECC or non-ECC; we list both.
  • The DXP2800 and DXP4800 have one slot, so the new module replaces the factory module. All other models have two slots and run best with a matched pair.

For every model's slots and maximum memory, see the UGREEN NASync memory guide.

Rules that apply across UGREEN systems

  • Match the form factor and ECC type. Every NASync takes SODIMMs. ECC modules fit only the GT models; on a GT, use one type throughout and never mix ECC with non-ECC.
  • Stay within the NAS maker's documented maximum for each slot and in total, and install matched modules where the unit has two or more slots.
  • Match the generation. DDR5 and DDR4 modules are keyed differently and will not fit each other's slots.
  • Speed follows the platform. Faster modules clock down automatically to the speed the processor and slot population support.

UGREEN memory guide and install guide

Two guides go with this page. The UGREEN NASync Memory Guide: Which RAM Fits Your DXP2800, DXP4800, DXP6800, DXP8800 or GT? explains how to choose modules by model, and How to Install Memory in a UGREEN NASync NAS: DXP and GT Series covers the install steps, troubleshooting and sizing.

Frequently asked

Can I upgrade the memory in my NASync?
Yes on the models listed here, which have replaceable SODIMM slots. Each listing offers only the sizes and kits that fit. The DH2300, DH4300 Plus, iDX6011 and iDX6011 Pro have memory soldered to the board and cannot be upgraded.

Should I use ECC memory?
Only the DXP2800 GT and DXP4800 GT accept ECC SODIMMs, and on those ECC is worth choosing for a NAS that runs around the clock. The Intel DXP models take non-ECC DDR5; the ODECC on their spec sheets is the on-die ECC inside every DDR5 chip, not support for ECC modules.

How do I check installed memory?
In UGOS Pro, open the device information panel to see installed memory and free slots.
