Synology UC3200 Unified Controller Memory

ECC memory for the Synology UC3200 — the Unified Controller, Synology's dual-controller active-active iSCSI SAN.

The UC3200 takes DDR4-2666 ECC UDIMM, in 8GB and 16GB modules. Both controllers must be populated identically — same density, same rank, same speed. The UC3200's entire value is that either controller can take over without interrupting service; a memory mismatch between them breaks that failover, and you find out on the day you needed it.

ECC is required, not optional. This is a SAN serving block storage to production hosts, and Synology specifies error-correcting memory for it accordingly.
