Memory upgrades for MiTAC and TYAN server motherboards and systems. TYAN is now part of MiTAC Computing Technology, and its server boards and systems are supported under the MiTAC brand, so this page covers both: the TYAN-lineage S-series boards and the GC, TS, GS, TN, TX and HG systems, plus MiTAC servers such as the R2520G6, M2510G6 and the AMD EPYC GPU and OCP platforms. Each listing is matched to one model and one memory type, using the speed, module sizes and capacities MiTAC specifies for it. Find your model first
The model name is printed on the board and on the system label; orderable part numbers add a suffix, for example S8056GM2NE-2T or B8056G68AE12HR. The memory listing is by the model name before the suffix, and the part numbers are in the listing tags, so searching either one finds it. Systems that use the B-series codes, such as GC68A-B8056, are named for their board, so check the processor family printed in the product name.

Which memory does my model take?
- DDR5 servers and boards (everything except the S5565 and S5567) take DDR5 only. The EPYC, Xeon 6 and 4th/5th Gen Xeon platforms take ECC Registered memory (RDIMM); the S5573, S8016 and HG68-B8016 take unbuffered ECC UDIMM.
- S5565 and S5567 are DDR4-3200 boards: the S5565 takes four UDIMMs and the S5567 two SO-DIMMs.
- Multi-node and OCP servers (C2810Z5, C2811Z5, M2510G6, M2810Z5, HG68-B8016) list slots per node. Order one set for each node you upgrade.
Rules that apply across these platforms
- Do not mix registered and unbuffered memory. RDIMM and UDIMM have different keying and cannot share a system.
- The processor and population set the speed. A module runs at the speed the installed processor and slot population support, for example DDR5-6400 on Xeon 6 at one DIMM per channel and 5200 MT/s at two.
- Install identical modules in each channel. Using one module size throughout gives the full memory bandwidth.
- MRDIMM, LRDIMM and 3DS RDIMM are not offered. MiTAC lists them for some platforms; NEMIX supplies standard RDIMM for those systems.
