Genuine Samsung memory modules — original Samsung product, not equivalents. When a server's QVL names a specific Samsung part, when a warranty or procurement spec requires the OEM module, or when you're matching modules already installed, this is the page.

DDR3 is the largest block at 357 listings — deeper than almost anyone still carries. A great deal of enterprise hardware from that era is still in production, and finding original Samsung modules for it has become the hard part. DDR4 accounts for 222, with DDR5 growing.

Samsung's part numbers encode the full specification — M393A4K40DB3-CWE is a 32GB DDR4-3200 registered module — so if you have a code off a module label or a memory report, search this page by it for an exact match.

When the original part is the right call

Most of the time a spec-matched equivalent is the better buy, and we say so on the compatible page. This page exists for the cases where it is not:

• The QVL names the part. Some board and system vendors publish tested-memory lists by exact Samsung part number, and some support organizations will only stand behind a configuration that matches it. If the list says M393A4K40DB3-CWE, this is where that number is.
• The procurement spec names the manufacturer. Government, defense, education, and enterprise contracts frequently specify OEM-manufactured memory, name the DRAM manufacturer, or require a part number that appears on the system vendor's own documentation. A Samsung-branded module satisfies that where an equivalent cannot.
• You are matching what is already installed. Lockstep and fault-tolerant platforms, mirrored configurations, and some HPC nodes want identical modules across every slot — same part number, not just same spec. Adding to a Samsung-populated server with the same Samsung number removes the variable.
• The equivalent is not made. For a share of the DDR3 range — 1066 and 1333 parts for Xeon 5500 / 5600 and early E5 platforms, 1GB and 2GB densities, VLP blades — the original Samsung module is the only new-old-stock option left, and that is where the depth of this page comes from.

Reading a Samsung number

The capacity digit follows the generation letter (5 = 4GB on DDR3 / 2GB on early DDR3 by density, 1 = 8GB, 2 = 16GB, 4 = 32GB, 8 = 64GB, A = 128GB, B = 256GB), the two digits after the die letter are DRAM width (70 / 40 = x4, 73 / 43 = x8), and the three characters before the dash are the die revision. Examples from this page: M393B5773DH0-YF8 = 2GB DDR3-1066 1Rx8 RDIMM, 1.35V. The DDR3 fleet this page serves

Two DDR3 rules that trip people. Voltage: the C-suffix modules are 1.5V, the Y-suffix are 1.35V DDR3L. Nearly every DDR3L module also runs at 1.5V, so a Y-suffix part is the safe choice in a mixed or unknown system; a C-suffix part will not run in a system that requires 1.35V. Mixing the two runs the whole system at 1.5V. Speed with population: Westmere and Sandy Bridge platforms drop from 1333 to 1066, or from 1600 to 1333, when a channel gets a second or third DIMM, and drop again with quad-rank modules. Genuine, and how to see it

Every listing on this page states the exact Samsung part number, and the module carries it three ways: the Samsung label with part number, date code, and country of assembly; the DRAM packages themselves, marked with Samsung's K4 series die codes; and the SPD, which reports Samsung as the module manufacturer to the BMC, iDRAC, iLO, XCC, or CPU-Z. If a module you are holding does not show all three, it is not what this page sells. Condition is stated on each listing. Where the numbers come from

• The module label — under the Dell, HPE, IBM, Cisco, or Supermicro sticker, or standing alone on a Samsung-shipped module.
• The BMC inventory — a slot reporting manufacturer "Samsung" shows the M393 / M321 number. Matching that exactly is the reason to buy here rather than the compatible page.
• The QVL or procurement spec — Supermicro, ASUS, and ASRock Rack tested-memory lists, HPE and Dell qualified-parts lists, and contract line items that cite Samsung numbers.
• Send us the list — a quote request with the part numbers and quantities comes back with availability and a matched set, original or equivalent as your spec requires.

Original or equivalent? If nothing in your QVL, contract, or configuration names the Samsung part, the equivalent on the compatible page is the same spec at a lower price. If something does, buy here. When in doubt, send the requirement and we will tell you which page it points to.

The QVL says DH0 and this page lists CH0. Is that the same? Same spec, different die revision. For a strict QVL or contract match, order the exact revision; if the listing you need is out of stock, tell us the revision requirement and we will source it or confirm the alternate with you first.

1.35V or 1.5V for my Gen8 / R720? Both run. 1.35V (Y-suffix) is what those systems shipped with and what lets them hold rated speed at higher population; use it unless you are matching installed 1.5V modules.

Are the DDR3 modules new? Condition is stated on each listing. The lifetime replacement warranty applies regardless.
