ECC, RDIMM, UDIMM and channels
ECC memory detects and corrects single-bit errors and suits long renders, simulations and data work. High-end workstations take ECC RDIMM across 4 or 8 channels; entry workstations take UDIMM across 2 channels, with ECC on supported processors; compact and mobile workstations take SODIMM.
