Before you order
To confirm which Mac you have, open the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, then System Report, and read the Model Identifier line. Match it to the identifier shown on this page before you order. The 2009 identifiers are iMac9,1, iMac10,1 and iMac11,1.
Single modules and pairs are on a listing shared with the MacBook Pro of the same years, which takes the same module, so that listing carries the MacBook Pro name. The module specification is identical.
Maximum memory differs between the 2009 models. If you are not sure your iMac supports 8GB modules, send us the model identifier first.
