Memory upgrades matched to your Cisco UCS server. Each listing covers one Cisco UCS model, using the memory type, speed and module size Cisco specifies, in single modules and matched kits. To find yours, type the model into the search bar at the top of the page, for example C220 M5, C240 M6, B200 M6, X210c M7 or C245 M8. The model is on the system label and in the server inventory in Cisco Intersight or UCS Manager.
M5 (Intel Xeon Scalable): DDR4-2933 ECC RDIMM or LRDIMM. 1st Gen Xeon Scalable processors run memory at up to 2666 MT/s and do not support the 64GB RDIMM or the 128GB and 256GB LRDIMMs; those need 2nd Gen processors. The AMD EPYC-based C125 M5 node uses DDR4-3200.
M6 (3rd Gen Xeon Scalable, AMD EPYC 7003): DDR4-3200 ECC RDIMM or LRDIMM. See DDR4 RDIMM and DDR4 LRDIMM.
M7 (4th and 5th Gen Xeon Scalable): DDR5-4800 ECC RDIMM with 4th Gen processors. With 5th Gen processors the C220 M7, C240 M7 and X210c M7 run DDR5-5600 and add 48GB and 96GB modules; see their DDR5-5600 listings: C220 M7, C240 M7, X210c M7. See DDR5 RDIMM.
M8 (Intel Xeon 6, AMD EPYC 9004/9005): DDR5-6400 ECC RDIMM. The AMD-based C225 M8, C245 M8 and X215c M8 also have DDR5-4800 listings: match the speed to the processor generation installed.
Cisco UCS servers accept either RDIMM or LRDIMM modules, but the two cannot be mixed in one server: match the type already installed, or see the RDIMM and LRDIMM listings for your model. Install identical modules and populate memory channels evenly on each processor for full bandwidth; faster modules run at the speed the platform supports.
