DDR4 LRDIMM (Load-Reduced DIMM) is the high-capacity memory for DDR4-generation servers and workstations. This page lists every DDR4 ECC LRDIMM NEMIX RAM supplies, from DDR4-2133 to DDR4-3200. Each module is a 288-pin, 1.2V load-reduced DIMM: in addition to the register that buffers command and address signals, data buffers on the module isolate the memory chips from the memory controller, so a 4-rank or 8-rank module presents a single electrical load. That lets a server run more ranks and more capacity per channel, at higher speed, than it could with standard RDIMMs. A 72-bit ECC data path (64 data bits plus 8 check bits) lets the system detect and correct memory errors.
What is on this page
Single modules in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, in 2Rx4, 4Rx4 and 8Rx4 organizations — the 8Rx4 modules at 128GB and 256GB are 3DS stacked — plus matched kits up to 4TB (16x256GB) for fully populated servers. DDR4-3200 and DDR4-2666 make up the largest share, with DDR4-2933, 2400 and 2133 for earlier platforms. Narrow the list with the Technology Speed, Module Density, Kit and Rank filters. Many listings are matched to a specific server or board, and many more are listed by OEM part number — Samsung, SK hynix, Micron, Supermicro MEM-DR4, Cisco UCS-ML, Dell SNP, HPE, Lenovo, IBM and QNAP parts. Searching your model or part number at the top of the page is the fastest way to find them.
Where DDR4 LRDIMM is used
DDR4 LRDIMM is commonly paired with Intel Xeon Scalable 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen and Xeon E5 v3/v4, and with AMD EPYC 7001, 7002 and 7003 and Threadripper PRO platforms — wherever a server needs the most memory per socket. System-matched listings on this page include Dell PowerEdge 14G and 15G servers such as the R440, R640, R740xd, R840, R940xa, T440, T640, R7415, R7515 and R6525; HPE ProLiant Gen10 and Gen10 Plus servers including the DL325, DL380, DL580 and ML350, the Synergy 480 Gen10 Plus and Superdome Flex; Cisco UCS B480 M5 and B200, C225, C240 and C245 M6; Intel S2600WF, S2600WT and S9200WK server boards; Supermicro systems; ASRock Rack ROMED8-2T and SP2C621D boards; Gigabyte MZ01 and MZ32 EPYC boards; MSI WS WRX80 and HP Z640 and Z840 workstations; NEC Express5800 servers; and Apple Mac Pro 2019.
Choosing the right DDR4 LRDIMM
Never mix LRDIMM with RDIMM in the same system — the platform runs one buffer type or the other. Choose LRDIMM when you need 64GB-and-up modules, the highest capacity per channel, or three modules per channel; for lower capacities, RDIMM is usually the better value. Not every DDR4 server supports LRDIMM, and some support only certain densities, so check the platform first. Use the same density, rank and speed across all channels, keep 8Rx4 3DS modules separate from standard 4Rx4 LRDIMMs unless the platform documentation allows mixing, and fill every channel for full bandwidth — 6 per socket on Xeon Scalable 1st and 2nd Gen, 8 on 3rd Gen and on EPYC. A faster module clocks down to the platform's supported speed. If you are unsure, send us the system model or the OEM part number and we will confirm fitment before you order.
