ASRock Rack server and workstation boards run on AMD EPYC Turin, Genoa and ROMED and Intel W680, W790 and C621 Xeon platforms. These take ECC RDIMM (45 listings), LRDIMM for the highest-capacity builds, or ECC UDIMM on the entry boards — and which one depends on the specific board, not the chipset family.

ASRock consumer and prosumer boards — X870, B850, B650, Z790, X570 — take non-ECC UDIMM, with SODIMM for the small form factor systems.

DDR5 running 4800 through 6400MHz, with DDR4 held for the ROMED and X570-era boards still in service. Densities run 8GB to 256GB per module.

Module type matters more on ASRock than most brands because the range covers five of them. An ASRock Rack board expecting registered memory will not post with unbuffered; a W680 board wanting ECC UDIMM will not take RDIMM.
