The Dell PowerEdge R740XD2 Rack Server is an Enterprise Content Server; A high-capacity content server that has fast response times maximizes uptime. With up to two 2nd Generation Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors; up to 22 cores each and available in 1 socket / 2 socket processor configuration, the R740XD is designed for streaming media and data-intensive workloads. The R740XD2 supports up to 1TB and 16 slots of NEMIX RAM DDR4-2933 RDIMM (Registered DIMM) although DDR4-2666 was more commonly used to configure this machine, it will support a faster 2933Mhz / PC4-23400.
