Choosing the right module

Match the form factor first, then the generation. Hypertec servers and KRONOS 545 and 546 workstations take ECC RDIMM (or LRDIMM on DDR4 G5 platforms); ORION W215R and W210R workstations, KRONOS 540 workstations and HORIZON desktops take UDIMM; ASTRO micro PCs, ARIUS all-in-ones and CRIUS laptops take NON-ECC SODIMM only. These types are not interchangeable: never install RDIMM or LRDIMM in a UDIMM or SODIMM machine, or the reverse. Hypertec G5 and G5C systems take DDR4-3200, G6 systems take DDR5-4800, DDR5-5600 or DDR5-6400 depending on the CPU fitted, and G7 systems take DDR5-6400. RDIMM and LRDIMM cannot be mixed in the same system, so on a DDR4 G5 platform stay with whichever type is already populated; LRDIMM is the route to the highest total capacity, RDIMM the lower-cost route at moderate capacity. On machines listed with both an ECC and a NON-ECC UDIMM page, choose one type and do not mix them; on AMD Ryzen based HORIZON and KRONOS models, ECC operation depends on the processor installed. CIARA lists DDR5-6400 and faster on its Intel Core Ultra machines; those speeds apply to CUDIMM and CSODIMM, which NEMIX RAM does not currently supply, so those pages carry standard JEDEC DDR5-5600. The ARIUS 13580 is built on two main boards: the page here fits the Q670 version with DDR5 SODIMM, not the H610 version with DDR4. Populate channels in matched sets and keep densities consistent across a channel. If the installed CPU is rated below the module speed, the system clocks the memory down to the supported speed.
